The small medioeval village is delightfully laid down on a will 410 high on the right side of the River Cornia. In the village there are two coffee bar, one gorcer's shop, one post office, a consultim room, one small hotel with restaurant - pizzeria, one tennis court and a small park with children games. Other shops are in Serrazzano (7,5 km), Pomarance (25 km) and on the Etruscan Coast from Cecina to the Golfo di Baratti(35 km).
